PM 2.5

For the past few weeks, people in Thailand, especially Bangkok, have become so familiar with PM 2.5. This is particulate matter 2.5, a toxic form of smog pollution. It requires a special mask to keep these super micro particles out of your body (even that is not a certainty). The tragedy of all this is that such severe pollution is almost entirely man-made. Intriguingly, the only way to rid the city of such pollution is by wind or rain. There is a tremendous lesson here. Humans make the mess, but only an act of God (as insurers would say) can actually remove it. This is a wonderful metaphor of sin and salvation. Hopefully, the lesson sinks in.
