VAR

This is Football's World Cup Season. We have heard so much about 'VAR' or video assisted referee. This system helps the on field referees to make better judgements in awarding certain decisions like penalty kicks. However, I think there is another way to look at'VAR', 'Very Authentic Religion'. The biggest concern of religious folks is to get their religion correct to ensure the right standing with God. In this pursuit, most religious folks tend to focus of ritual performance as the answer. Nothing could be further from the truth as demonstrated by such passages as Isaiah 1, Micah 6 and Matthew 25 (to mention a few). God is always more concerned about relational issues than ritual performance. That is 'VAR'.
